About Me

Laurie Treacy, a mom to three adult kids and a former weekly newspaper layout artist and reporter, has called the Hudson Valley home for over four decades. She loves to pen romantasy, paranormal and contemporary romance stories. An award-winning author, she’s branched out to children’s books, poetry, and playwriting.

 

Five of her poems were selected by Hudson Valley MOCA's juried committee for their annual event, Writing the Walls. She recited her works at Studio Theatre in Exile (STE) in 2024 and 2025. Her monologue, The Woolf Inside, was part of STE’s 2026 Short Play Festival The Black Box Chronicles: Dramatic Disturbance.

 

When not writing, Laurie’s a proud Whovian, Studio Ghibli fangirl, and K-drama addict. She finds inspiration in her beautiful home state of New York. and loves to photograph various scenery. A Marist University graduate, she’s a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA), one of their chapters, Fantasy, Futuristic and Paranormal writers (FF&P), the Hudson Valley Writers Guild, Rattle, and the Poetry Foundation.
